MY STORY
Hi! I'm your therapist, Gerald Tyler, here's some things you should know about me! I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating from Mumford High School, I immediately signed a contract to play baseball professionally for the Detroit Tigers. Despite my efforts, I didn't feel satisfied with my life and was very disappointed with the result of my baseball career. I was lost, unhappy, and hopeless. I searched for happiness in the darkest places and ended up nowhere. Until one day God saved me. He sent people to help guide me out of this darkness and eventually walk a path of righteousness. I finally found happiness, and desperately wanted to help others in my position achieve the same.

Ten years later, I found myself furthering my education by attending Wayne State University, where I received my Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work. This led me down a path to helping others find their inner happiness and lead them out of dark places. My life experience coupled with my educational knowledge allowed me to work 40 years in this field.
I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. I have worked with a variety of patients dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives utilizing "Cognitive Behavior Therapy", "Reality Based Therapy", and "The Power of Positive Thinking". These are a few of the tools among many others that are used by Remembering Me Therapy to guide you on your path to finding your true self.
INSURANCE
No Isurance Coverage
Since 2000, I have provided a wide range of mental health services to clients all throughout Detroit and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, my clinic does not accept a wide range of insurance plans. We refrain from the use of insurance as payments. However, we do accept all major debit and credit cards as forms of payment. Payment is due prior to the beginning of your session. All payments are made through the Square app.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Fee
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise you are subject to be charged for the full rate of the session; excluding medical emergencies which have to be verifiable. However, in the case of cancellation, there is a fee of $50. Be sure to schedule your appointment carefully to avoid this fee.
